Redefining the use of space
IDEA
When Honor Harris decided to reform her Sotogrande home, the brief was clear:
open up the space, modernise the layout, and create storage solutions that fit the way she and her husband live.
The final result — shown in the video and the after photos — is a bright, functional and beautifully detailed home where every element is purpose-built.
Concept and planning
DESIGN PROCESS
Open-Plan Kitchen — Created From Three Separate Rooms
The original layout consisted of an old kitchen, a bedroom and a utility room.
All three were knocked into one to create the spacious, open-plan kitchen and dining area you see now.
Every element of the kitchen is custom-built in-house, including:
Bespoke cabinetry and storage
Clean integrated lines and balanced proportions
A hidden office space seamlessly built into the layout
A functional but minimal design tailored around the family’s daily routine
The before-and-after contrast is dramatic — what was once a dark, confined collection of rooms is now the heart of the home.
Fireplace Wall — Upgraded Around the Existing Fire
The fireplace itself was existing, but the surrounding wall needed structure and refinement.
We upgraded the entire area while keeping the original fire in place.
We added:
A custom Dekton base
Bespoke shelving, built in-house
A hidden drawer to conceal network equipment and wiring
This created a cleaner, more architectural feature while maintaining the warmth and character of the original fireplace.
Opposite Lounge Wall — Hidden TV System With Antique Mirror Doors
At the opposite end of the lounge, we designed and installed a completely separate custom feature:
a hidden TV system built into a bespoke metal frame.
This included:
Hand-made folding doors with antique mirrored panels
A smooth, engineered folding mechanism
A clean, decorative façade when the TV is not in use
Full concealment of the screen, giving the room a refined, uncluttered look
This creates balance in the space: a warm, modernised fireplace wall on one side, and a sleek hidden-technology solution on the other.
Custom Walk-In Wardrobes for Both Clients
Honor and her husband had very specific needs, so each wardrobe was designed entirely around their personal routines.
His Wardrobe
He wanted total organisation, so we built:
Custom drawer systems for t-shirts, polos and accessories
Pull-outs for shoes
Fully measured sections based on his actual clothing
Integrated lighting
Thoughtful layouts to keep everything accessible and tidy
Her Dressing Room
Honor’s dressing room includes:
Bespoke drawers
Shelving for hats, bags and accessories
Dedicated pull-outs for shoes and scarves
Soft integrated lighting
A layout designed for comfort, order and ease of use
Every piece is handcrafted by our joiners and built to measure, ensuring a perfect fit.
